(1) Could you tell our readers about your band? – What kind of music do you perform, when was it established, etc.?
RISEN ATLANTIS is a new project initiated by Alessandro del Vecchio and the FRONTIERS Label, featuring my voice. the debut album is called “Power to the past” and was released on sep 26th. So, this is a complete new thing, which does not mean that here are unexperienced musicians at work. We all have musically grown with more or less famous bands. Me, for example, been singing since ten years as additional Frontsinger in the german power metal band “GAMMA RAY”. The bandleader is KAI HANSEN and is well known for its work in HELLOWEEN. Ale is best known as producer, multi instrumentalist and his awesome talent in writing incredible songs.
(2) Which bands or artists inspired you to play music?
I can only speak for myself. I am a child of the 80`s . I grew up with Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, DIO, Saxon, Judas Priest, Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Rainbow, Scorpions and saw them LIVE in their prime. That shapes your taste of music. And so it`s no wonder that I always wanted to sound like DIO, Coverdale, Gillan (never reached his highest notes haha) and that is why I chose to be a singer.
(3) Who came up with the album cover?.
That was the label, they do have a pool of really talented artists and so they came up with a few ideas, I was instantly in love with POSEIDON and this ATLANTIS thing, it`s like phoenix from the ashes, only Atlantis rises from the water 😉
(4) Who wrote the lyrics for your album POWER TO THE PAST, how did they come to be?
Alessandro der Vecchio and Brett Jones, he is an amazing guitar player and songwriter
(5) Who created the logo for the band, and who takes care of the graphics and the website? What about you and social networks?

(6) How many Shows have you played? Which type of gigs do you prefer, whether (Venues or festivals) and which of your performances would you consider as the best?
With RISEN ATLANTIS not a single one, but we are working on it. With GAMMA RAY I`ve been touring throughout the world, Europe, South America, Japan, the 70k cruise, an amazing experience, but It doesn`t matter if you play small of big venues, it doesn`t matter if there are 200 or 20000 people attending, you always give the best you can to make the show a remarkable one.
(7) who came up with the name of the new album?
I told the label what kind of music I want to have for my first album. I came up with the idea to create power metal music 80`s style but with a modern sound. So they suggested “Power to the past”
that fits exactly.
(8) What is your favorite song to play live?
I personally think that there are really some killer songs on the album. The title track for example, but also the midtempo songs like “Mystic Maze” and “Sea of Tranquility”
