Interview with CLOCKTOWERS

(1) Could you tell our readers about your band CLOCKTOWERS? – What kind of music do you perform, when was it established, etc.

Clocktowers was established in 2021 in Hamilton, Ohio by longtime friends Tarek Puska & Dakota Logan. The mission was to create a rock/metal sound that could please everyone from radio rock listeners to thrashers. The songs carry true messages.

(2) Which bands or artists inspired you to play music?

(Dakota) – The Eyeless, Mastodon, Lamb Of God, Pink Floyd, Ghost, Heart

(Tarek) – AC/DC, KISS, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Free

(3) Who came up with thecover art for the SingleBend The Snake?.

I,Tarek, came up with the idea of the Annunaki with a caduceus, and Justin Roth of War Curse & Justin Roth Designs brought it to life in his flavor and style.

(4) Who wrote the lyrics for your new Single, how did they come to be?

I wrote the lyrics. I can usually feel what the song is going to be about based upon how what Dakota writes makes me feel inside. I sat down and wrote these lyrics straight through. That holds true for the majority of our songs. This one in particular deals with the magic being used to decieve and blur the lines of reality.

(5) Who created the logo for the band, and who takes care of the graphics and the website?

The logo was created by Dakota. The original logo artwork and “Genesis” album cover art were done by Travis Smith. Justin Roth is responsible for all of our online artwork and singles art as well as photgraphy and T shirts.

(6) How many Shows have you played? Which type of gigs do you prefer, whether (Venues or festivals) and which of your performances would you consider as the best?

No Shows yet. Currently searching for a drummer to complete a live line up.

(7) What is your songwriting process?

Dakota and myself have a great rapport. It is truly a 50/50 writing process. We have worked together on and off for 15 years. We accept both ideas and criticisms from each other with open minds.

(8) How would you describe your band’s sound?

A driving rock beat with modern metal overtones. Clean baritone vocals with a rock edge, harmonious backing vocals. Emotion filled riffs. Jumping, driving bass.

(9) What are the main themes or messages in your lyrics?

Themes and messages vary from real life situations including addictions & marriage separation’s, to current event scenarios such as over exposure to media and false narratives. Ancient texts are referenced along with messages of prosperity and clarity.

(10)Do you have endorsements that you want to talk about or share?

Not yet!

(11)Would you like to share any shows or festivals coming up?

Still forming the live band.

(12) How and where can your fans contact you? What about you and social networks?
