Interview with BENEFACTOR DECEASE

(1)

Could you tell our readers about your band BENEFACTOR DECEASE? – What kind of music do you perform, when was it established, etc.?

Benefactor Decease was firstly established in 2007 as a local band in Moschato, Athens. With many changes in the line up the band was always triggered by the raw and authentic thrash metal scene.

(2)

Which bands or artists inspired you to play music?

Most of all the classics : Destruction, Sodom, Slayer, Kreator, Dark Angel, Sadus etc.

(3)

Who came up with the cover art for the album Abnormal Attachements?

The idea was a sequel for Anatomy of an Angel. It actually depicts a modern labour revolution in a chemical factory, the concept behind Technophobic Syndrome, where neo-ludists revolutionize against the machines. It’s something that is diachronic. Andrei Busikov managed to illustrate it on the canvas.

(4) Who wrote the lyrics for your new album, how did they come to be?

Zissis is the criminal mind beyond the lyrics and then some ideas for Imprisonment Atrocities by Apollo back in 2010.

(5) Who created the logo for the band, and who takes care of the graphics and the website?

Alex “Polonos” (R.I.P.) first designed and developed the logo. Graphics are by Manolis Fasoulakis.

(6) How many Shows  have you played? Which type of gigs do you prefer, whether (Venues or festivals) and which of your performances would you consider as the best?

In the 2008 -2013 period we always took part at many local gigs. Best performance at Rainbow club, Athens.

(7) Can you tell us about the single Urban Decay?

Urban Decay was written in 2009 and its purpose was to be released earlier. Now it has a very different, more aggressive form and some great meaningful lyrics so we chose that because it’s a silent killer.

(8) Can you tell us about the name of the new album What’s the Inspiration behind it?

Abnormal Attachments is actually a form of psychiatric disorientation and also one of the most heavy thrash songs of the album.

(9)Can you tell us about the metal scene in Greece?

It’s always pretty active.

(10) Do you have endorsements that you want to talk about or share?

Not really.

(11) Would you like to share any shows or festivals coming up?

For now we are focusing on studio work.

(12) How and where can your fans contact you? What about you and social networks?

We have a Facebook page Benefactor Decease. Anyone can find us there.
