1. To kick things off: Tell our audience a bit about the origin story of your Band.
Our band started many years ago in Sarnia, Ontario Canada. Founding members Bobby and Krzysztof initially started the band when they were teenagers, but eventually moved out to Western Canada to rebrand the band and start something new. The current line up has been set for the better part of a decade now and has been consistent ever since!
2. Tell us about your new project?
Our upcoming album will be our 5th effort as Osyron. We believe that this record is our heaviest, most complete and best sounding album to date! We wanted to continue our growth and solidifying our sound from our previous album Momentous. We can’t wait for people to hear how our sound has evolved and matured over the last few years of writing.
3. If you had to describe the sound of your Band to someone who hasn’t heard you yet: What would you say?
A splendid mix of Prog-Power meets Melo-Death metal. We feel we have very atmospheric and moody elements to our sound that both blend heavy, aggressive riffs to uplifting, anthemic melody lines. We always try describe ourselves as an epic sounding metal band.
4. How has the songwriting evolved with the band over the years? What does that process look like for you lately?
It has evolved quite a lot record to record. As of now, we all contribute in various ways in regards to the songwriting. Whether that be well thought out/complete ideas, one or two riffs or drum beats, or even vocals/melodies. We all try to chip in when we can and help serve the song. The song(s) comes first!
5. Outside of metal, what books, Video Games, movies, or life events leave a mark on your music?
Some of the fellas are big into gaming while others are into movies or other media. We listen to a wide range of music individually as well! That, paired with our desire to create anthemic moments, helps steer our sound in the direction that has become Osyron’s sound.
6. What are some of the recurring themes or messages you find yourself exploring in your lyrics?
As of late, typically a mix of personal experiences and what the human experience tends to be in modern times, and thoughts on society, culture, history, our planet and where we fit within the universe.
7. What is one song you’ve written that you feel captures the absolute core identity of the band?
We can’t pin it down to one song, but Anunnaki really opened the doors for us to start touring and performing internationally. So due to that songs popularity and impact on our careers we could pick that as a candidate.
8. Do you find your energy translates better in an intimate club style venue or a massive festival setting?
We find energy is within the crowd. It always will be a symbiotic relationship with the crowd from the stage and back again. But we have seen insane energy from small clubs to the big festival stages. Always depends on the people there that day/night.
9. Which Artists or Band inspired you to be in a Band?
Anything from Barney, to Enya, to Mozart. In all honesty, we all have such vast influences that don’t necessarily cross over, it would be too hard to pin point which ones specifically inspired us!
10. If you could sit down and collaborate with any Artist or Band right now, who would be at the top of your list and Why?
An easy answer would be any of the titans that laid the foundation for all other metal bands! Why? Because who wouldn’t?!
11. What’s the current Pulse of the Metal Scene from your perspective?
Metal will always have a space in the underground. For that reason alone, it will never die! Sure, maybe there is saturation in specific genres and sub-genres, but we feel the pulse will always be strong as long as people find their solace in heavier music the same we have always done!
12. Are there any endorsements or gear brands you’re currently working with that you’d like to shout out?
13. What does your tour calendar look like? Any big shows or festivals we should be made aware of?
We have some irons in the fire for 2027. We have a few festivals starting to line up and tour opportunities. We will be announcing all that in the coming months via our social media. So stay tuned for that!
14. What is your very first Metal album you ever bought ?
Can’t say for certain on behalf of everyone in the band, but one of the original metal bands such as Metallica, Iron Maiden or the like would be there!
15. What was the very first metal concert you ever went to?
Not sure of everyone’s first! Does Gwen Stefani & Akon count?
16. What is your LinkTree or Online Link ?
Our Instagram, that will have everything from music, to news and updates and much more!
