Interview with UNBURIER

(1) Could you tell our readers about your band UNBURIER ? – What kind of music do you perform, when was it established, etc.?
Unburier are a technical death thrash band that was established in 2022.

(2) Which bands or artists inspired you to play music?
Early influences we have are bands like Metallica and Megadeth. But the bands that inspired us to form and play in this band are Death, Revocation, The Black Dahlia Murder, Necrophagist.

(3) Who came up with the cover art for the EP: As Time Awaits ?
The art was a collaboration between the band and the artist, Fernando JFL. But ultimately he was the one that took our initial concepts to reality.

(4) Who wrote the lyrics for your new EP, how did they come to be?
Our bassist, Stan, wrote the lyrics for 2 of the tracks on the EP and Blake handled the lyrics on the other. We always write lyrics and get the patterns down once a full song is written.

(5) Who created the logo for the band, and who takes care of the graphics and the website?
The logo was made by Spearhead. All graphics and the website are handled by Ben.

(6) How many Shows have you played? Which type of gigs do you prefer, whether (Venues
or festivals) and which of your performances would you consider as the best?
We Have played loads of shows over the past years, our favorite’s have been good club shows!

(7) What is your songwriting process?
We start with riffs first, and then go back and forth with arrangements etc. Once we are happy here, it moves on to drums, bass and vocals.

(8) Can you tell us about your single Survive the vermin?
‘Survive The Vermin’ brings a fresh dynamic to our sound with its mid-paced groove, crushing riffs, and haunting atmospheres. Lyrically, it follows the journey of an immortal warrior grappling with the cost of surrendering flesh for steel, reflecting on purpose, identity, and sacrifice. It’s our most concise and focused work yet.

(9) What are the main themes or messages in your lyrics?

The EP leans into the philosophical concept of the absurd, the tension between our
need for meaning and a world that offers none. A lot of the lyrics wrestle with
purpose, identity, and how we exist in that contradiction.

(10) Do you have endorsements that you want to talk about or share?
Our drummer is endorsed by Vratim drum shoes.

(11) Would you like to share any shows or festivals coming up?
As of right now, we don’t have any shows we can speak about but our calendar will be
filling up looking into the new year.

(12) How and where can your fans contact you? What about you and social networks?
Our social media, @unburier on everything, our website www.unburierband.com or
