Interview with Unredeemer

(1) Could you tell our readers about your band UNREDEEMER ? – What kind of music do you perform, when was it established, etc.?

We came together at the beginning of 2019. Initially we played death/thrash but recently we shifted to a bit darker tones, with more death and black metal influence.

(2) Which bands or artists inspired you to play music?

Hard to name a few, and it wouldn’t be fair, but all of us can agree on pioneers of thrash and death, as well as more modern extreme metal influences.

(3) Who came up with the single pitycover?

I did, actually. I was browsing an artist’s catalogue and found the image that embodied exactly what I had in mind. I tweaked it a bit to incorporate band’s iconography, but I think that thematically it just hits the spot.

(4) Who wrote the lyrics for your new single, how did it come to be?

Lyrics came to me on a flight back from a week spent with old friends at a festival. I was feeling pretty nostalgic, and was pondering how that suffering is actually what makes the whole experience priceless. Later I read a quote about how the meaning of life is to create memories for which you’ll be nostalgic later. That’s kind of the whole meaning of the song.

(5) Who created the logo for the band, and who takes care of the graphics and the website? What about you and social networks?

Logo was created by All Things Rotten, check him out on Facebook, he does some awesome work. The gear skull icon I created after the first EP cover was made (by Shadow Room Project, shout out to them).

(6)How many Shows  have you played? Which type of gigs do you prefer, whether (Venues or festivals) and which of your performances would you consider as the best?

Don’t really keep track, but it was under 20 so far. There was a big gap during and after covid years. We definitely prefer festivals, and the best one so far for us was Rock Castle this year.

(7) who came up with the name of the new single?

I did, together with the lyrics.

(8) Can you tell us about the single Pity?

It goes hand in hand with the last one (Shame), they’re both darker than our previous material. The tuning went lower, there’s more black and death metal influences, and the lyrics follow that theme as well.

(9)How and where can your fans contact you? Can you provide some contact information?

All the standard channels – Facebook, Instagram, Bandcamp.. or even email contact@unredeemer.band
