(1) Could you tell our readers about your band CURSE OF CAIN? – What kind of music do you perform, when was it established, etc.?
CURSE OF CAIN is a metal band that blends heavy riffs with cinematic and atmospheric elements. Our music is dark, dramatic, and storytelling-driven, built around a concept that runs through both our sound and our image. The band was officially established in 2020, but the idea had been growing long before that. Our goal has always been to create something bigger than just music – an entire universe.
(2) Which bands or artists inspired you to play music?
We draw inspiration from a wide range of bands and genres. Classic metal acts like Iron Maiden, King Diamond, and Metallica have definitely shaped us, but we’re also influenced by modern giants such as Slipknot, In Flames, and Rammstein. Beyond metal, film scores and theatrical artists inspire us to create not only music but a full experience.
(3) Who came up with the album cover?
The concept came directly from the band – we had a clear vision of what we wanted to represent. We handle all the graphics ourselves, with The Pirate mainly responsible for the designs.
(4) Who wrote the lyrics for your album, and how did they come to be?
Most of the lyrics are written by The Pirate and Rainbow. They are deeply connected to the CURSE OF CAIN universe and characters, so every song contributes to the larger narrative. Inspiration comes both from personal experiences and from the fictional storyline we’ve created.
(5) Who created the logo for the band, and who takes care of the graphics and the website? What about you and social networks?
The original logo was drawn by The Pirate, then further developed together with a graphic designer who understood our vision. We wanted something bold, memorable, and symbolic. All graphics, visuals, and the website are handled by us in the band. We also manage our own social media – Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and more – where we share updates, behind-the-scenes content, and interact with our fans. Everything you see comes straight from us.
(6) How many shows have you played? Which type of gigs do you prefer, whether venues or festivals, and which of your performances would you consider the best?
So far, we’ve played around 10 shows. Our performance is at the very core of what we do, and since we combine music with theater, we can’t really fit into small clubs or tiny stages. Every show is a project in itself, and we put a lot of effort into making it big, intense, and memorable. Our goal is to create the biggest show ever! People who have seen us know what we mean – even if our music isn’t your style, you’ll enjoy the spectacle. Festivals are always fun, but we prefer our own shows where we can prepare everything exactly the way we want. As long as the stage is big enough, we perform!
(7) Who came up with the name of the new album?
The name was born out of discussions within the band. We wanted something that reflected both the storyline and the feeling of the record. In the end, it felt natural – almost as if the name chose itself.
